Musicians, how to get simple melody and chords from MIDI capable keyboard onto blank sheet music?

Just looknig for a nice, simple program that will record onto paper whatever I play.

Yes, I'm very behind the times with this, but I definitely can play, so I figure it's time to start making it easier to write down!

Thanky ou and Happy Holidays.Musicians, how to get simple melody and chords from MIDI capable keyboard onto blank sheet music?
We have a small recording studio setup for 2 keyboards in two rooms with editing software and recording software and 2 computers networked together. Prob a bit much for you. But we use a program called ';Sibelius'; its for writing and arranging music it also has the ability to write as you play your keyboard/midi controller. They have different versions from the 700.00 which we have to a 100.00 basic version. I would recommend it. you can arrange a simple piece or arrange a whole orchestra. Its alot of fun. you should be able to do a search for ';Sibelius'; and come across a version at the price and features you need.Musicians, how to get simple melody and chords from MIDI capable keyboard onto blank sheet music?
I like ';PrintMusic';. Computer software that will let you play your midi keyboard and it will put the notes on the page for you. The resulting page / computer file can then be printed, played (audio), edited (with your computer keyboard/mouse), etc. Other ways to input are computer keyboard/mouse. Also, if you have printed music, it can be scanned (if you have a scanner).

Go to this web site - - http://www.finalemusic.com/

';Finale'; is more expensive; but also an option. Scroll down the page and click on the ';PrintMusic'; link Cost is about $100

I have an older version of PrintMusic which I really like. I cannot tell you if PrintMusic 2008 is also good.

Good Luck.

Sincerely,

Deb
